Lecture & Concert dedicated to Alexander Spendiaryan & Arno Babajanian

KCCA under the auspices of the Embassy of Armenia to the UK has organised a lecture & concert dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of Alexander Spendiaryan and the 100th birth anniversary of Arno Babajanian.
The artistic and musical director of the event is conductor, tenor and pianist Sipan Olah who will lead the concert.
Lecturer about Spendiaryan will present composer Marine Otaryan (director of the house museum of Spendiaryan in Yerevan) and about Babajanian maestro Siapn Olah (UK).
Masterpieces by Spendiaryan and Babajanian will be performed by internationally acclaimed professional singers, sopranos- Tatevik Ashuryan, Hayarpi Yeghikyan. Piano music will be presented by well-known pianists Maria Palazian. Oboist Hagop Mouradian, violinist laureates- Paula Gorbanova, Malena Gimeno, violist-Knarika Karapetian,cellist Christopher Hedges will play compositions by the two composers and the Klingen Choir will perform songs by Babajanian.
There will be a picture exhibition by the British-Armenian artists Leonie Pilart and Anna Virabyan based on the themes of the concert’s musical programme.Free refreshments will be available during the break of the concert and everyone will have the chance to enjoy the beautiful exhibition at the church.
