Description

A lecture by independent lecturer in Fine Arts, Eveline Eaton, with special reference to the exhibition at Tate Britain "Impressionists in London, French Artists in Exile (1870-1904)" featuring works by Monet, Tissot and Pissarro among others, which runs from 2 November 2017 - 7 May 2018. The exhibition relates to the story of the artists who fled to Britain to escape war in France. This talk will convey the joys of Impressionism more widely in a light-hearted and informative way. A glass of wine and canapes will be served afterwards with an opportunity to talk to the lecturer.
