Discover Birmingham’s hidden heritage sites by bike as their trained ride leaders will take you along one of our fantastic ‘Secret Birmingham – Heritage Cycle Routes’ .
When: Sunday 21st September 2025
Time: 11.30am - 2.30pm
Location: Starting/finishing at the Midlands Arts Centre in Cannon Hill Park.
What to expect:
This led ride is your chance to learn new bike-friendly routes, explore Birmingham by bike with a group and visit some of Birmingham’s hidden heritage sites along the way.
Some of the heritage sites we will visit on this ride include Perrot's Folly, the famous Blondin Statue, Old Joe and the Harborne Walkway – You really are in for a treat!
Starting/finishing at the Midlands Arts Centre in Cannon Hill Park. (Park entrance, in the courtyard by the picnic benches)
Leaving promptly at 11.30am. Expect to be riding for approx. 3hrs using cycle paths, green spaces, shared paths and a few quiet roads. Led by qualified ride leaders.We will ride at a gentle with plenty of pits stops and opportunity for a refreshment break.
The ride is suitable for all the family; participants should have basic bike handling skills and the ability to ride for 2-3hrs.
Please note you will need your own bike to take part in this ride.
Whether you're new to riding, looking to build confidence or a regular cyclist this ride is for you.
Ride led by qualified leaders, suitable for all abilities.
These are social activities, the pace will be gentle, nobody gets left behind. Expect lots of chatting, pitstops and smiles.
Things to remember:
- You need your own bike to take part in this ride
- Dress for the weather - Think about suitable footwear, gloves, suncream, a water proof and extra layers are a good idea just in case.
- Bring a drink/snacks for when you are out on the ride
