Leeds City Region: Construction Labour and Skills Research
Tue 1 November 2016, 10:00 – 13:00 GMT
Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), West Yorkshire Combined Authority, key construction employers, groups and CITB are working in partnership to address the labour and skills challenges facing the construction sector across the Leeds City Region (LCR). CITB has produced a report which highlights there are significant issues and challenges for the short and medium term particularly around levels of skills and availability of labour. The report acts as an evidence base to inform stakeholders and may be used as a basis for the development of a construction skills strategy so that the industry has the skills it needs now and for the future and effective plans and investment decisions can be made to exploit employment and economic growth opportunities.
As a significant stakeholder in the region we would be very pleased if you could join us for a presentation of a summary of the findings, discuss the report’s significance in helping shape the Leeds City Region and agree the next steps.
The event details are as follows:-
