Leeds Community Soup
Sat 21 November 2015, 17:30 – 19:30 GMT
Help local community projects in Leeds
Have fun and make a difference.
A (£10) ticket entitles you to a delicious meal of homemade soup and fresh bread, and a vote for your favourite local community project pitched on the night. Four ideas for improving Leeds or the local community will be put forward with the one receiving the most votes taking home all the ticket money.
Inspired by the wildly successful Detriot SOUP, which has raised $85,000 to date, Leeds Soup will hold its first event.
You will also be able to see what Inkwell and Community Matters (Yorkshire) do and the difference they are making to people’s lives. Not to mention the wonderful cakes and soft drinks (including fresh coffee) that will be on sale.
There will be a safe art area for kids to play in while you go about the serious business of soup and community.
When + Where:
The event in Leeds is set to take place from 5:30pm on 21 November at the Inkwell, Chapel Allerton.
Doors at 5:30pm
Proposals at 6:00pm
Winner announced 7:15 pm
To be considered for a Leeds SOUP pitch slot, please contact Community Matters (Yorkshire) on firstname.lastname@example.org. The only criteria at this stage is the idea or project benefits York.
A small proportion of the ticket price will go to buy the ingredients for the food all of the remainder will be going towards the projects. Community Matters (Yorkshire) and Inkwell will not derive any income from your ticket price. Because of how the ticket money is being used we are unable to issue refunds, however tickets are transferable.
Sorry about the £1.49 booking fee. It's Eventbrite's mandatory charge for processing paid-for tickets
