Event description

Description

The Food Assembly is a weekly click & collect meet up between local food producers and local residents and it's free to sign up! Hooray!

---

We are covering all the essentials food items you need for a healthy body and mind: bread, fish, eggs, dairy, fruits and vegs, microgreens, cold pressed oils, fermented preserves, gluten free bread and cakes...

How does it all work you say? Easy!

The online market is open every week from Friday, midnight to Monday, midnight.

You then come and collect your weekly shop at the same place and time each week:

5-7pm/ every Wednesday
at The Grub & Grog
3 Sheaf Street, LS10 1HD, Leeds

Note that exceptionally for the launch, the online market will open on Wednesday 17th of January, at midnight.

Make sure you register as a member on our page, again, it's totally free!

Some of you may know already our producers...

  • The Leeds Bread Coop bringing you the best organic bread in town
  • Goosemoore Organics for fresh fruits and vegs
  • The Grub & Grog for their delicious veggie and vegan oriented deli food
  • Yorkshire Dama Cheese and their wonderful halloumi
  • North Star Coffee ...and more!

The goal of the Assembly is essentially to educate the local community on healthy food, knowing what you are eating and where it comes from, buying from and supporting the local producers and of course, doing something about climate change (not buying food coming over from abroad, supporting sustainable agriculture, reducing food waste...).

We will also organise from time to time taster events and workshops/ talks related to food, cooking, health and sustainable living alongside our usual orders collections.
