LEEF Reading Group: How to Grow Liveable Worlds - Learning from plants
By London Environmental Educators' Forum (LEEF)
Online event
Overview
How can we "conspire" with plants to move beyond the Anthropocene into a new age?
In this session, Dr. Elyssa Livergant, director of the South London Botanical Institute, will guide us through a close reading of anthropologist Professor Natasha Myers' essay, "How to Grow Liveable Worlds" (2024).
"Plants are the world-makers we need to heed if we hope to grow liveable worlds. And our worlds will only be liveable worlds when people learn how to conspire with the plants."
What might this actually look like in our context as educators?
