Left Behind: Capturing the Moor Hospital
This haunting and powerfully poignant exhibition by Nick Dagger Photography
sets the scene of what was left behind of Lancaster's abandoned 19th Century psychiatric hospital, the first asylum in Lancashire. First Friday is invited to exclusively preview the exhibition, which will include a Meet The Artist Q&A session. A very special photography workshop will also be held in the cellars of Lancaster City Museum, a historic part of the city not usually opened to the public.
Photography Workshop | 12.30-1.30pm
| Max. 10 people | Free, book
In the cellars of the Lancaster City Museum, Nick Dagger invites you to join this unique photography workshop, which will cover the techniques he used to capture the images showcased in “Left Behind: Capturing the Moor Hospital” and he will guide you to take your own shots of the historic basements.
To take part, you will need to bring a DSLR camera, a standard and/or wide lens and a tripod.
Due to the location of the workshop, access is only available via a number of steps leading down to the Museum’s cellars. Unfortunately there is no alternative access to this part of the building.
