Event description
Confident Parenting in a World of Screens - a 2 hour session for parents and carers. Come and join us online!

About this event

We do not want anyone to be excluded from attending this course or event. If cost would prevent you from registering, please read the section below to find out if you are eligible to apply for our bursary scheme*.

Registration includes all course materials plus additional, bonus resources. These will be delivered to you before the event.

Left to their Own Devices is a resource produced by the national charity Care for the Family and will be run by Hope for Families, a project working to support parents and carers living in Corby, Northamptonshire and the surrounding area. If you live outside of this area and would like to join us online, you are very welcome but please be aware that we will prioritise parents and carers living in and around Corby.

This 90-minute session is made up of video clips and discussion time which will allow parents to gain an understanding of the online world that our children inhabit. It addresses challenges and provides an opportunity for parents to share their own experiences and ideas while giving them practical tips on how to be a great parent in a world of screens.

This session is 2 hours long and we will be running this event online using Zoom video conferencing software from 7-9pm on Monday 12th July 2021. Joining details will be shared with you once you have registered for the event and all accompanying resources will be sent to you before the day.

Our trained facilitators are parents and carers just like you and we are there to guide you through the session, making sure that you get the most out of our time together. We will share our own experiences (including our many mistakes) and we will share many laughs along the way.

Places are limited - we have a maximum number of 12 participants per session so - so please do book ASAP to secure your place.

* We do not want anyone to be excluded from attending our events due to cost and bursary places are available with a 50% discount. Please enter the promo code 'bursaryscheme21' when you select your ticket to receive this discount (look for 'Enter promo code' in blue when you add your ticket).
