Following a triumphant premiere in Accra on August 29, 2025, this captivating and thought-provoking film is making its way to the heart of Britain. Experience the unforgettable London premiere on Friday, October 3. To pique your interest, here’s a brief synopsis to whet your appetite.

Born in the small village of Mpintimpi, Ghana, Kofi Peprah-Gyamfi grows up in poverty but nurtures a profound love for education, instilled by his parents' sacrifices and Ghana's newly independent spirit. Despite the hardships of village life, including walking miles to school and battling a debilitating illness, Kofi’s determination to learn never wavers.

As he matures, Kofi faces systemic challenges and personal tragedies that threaten to derail his dream of becoming a doctor. Undeterred, he takes a bold step, leaving his home for Nigeria to save money for a flight to Germany, where he believes his future lies. In Germany, Kofi navigates cultural barriers, prejudice, and rigorous academics at Hannover Medical School, proving his resilience and intellect.

Intertwined with Kofi's journey are poignant reflections on Africa’s struggles and potential. From systemic corruption to grassroots innovation, the story paints a vivid picture of a continent brimming with talent and promise yet hindered by internal and external challenges. Kofi’s mentorship of Kwasi, a young boy grappling with racism in London, underscores his belief in empowering the next generation to rise above adversity.

Ultimately, Legacy Africa is a story of perseverance, hope, and transformation. It celebrates the indomitable spirit of those who dare to dream, challenges stereotypes about Africa, and calls for collective action to rewrite the continent's narrative, making it one of pride, innovation, and resilience.
