Event description

Description

What: Legacy Fundraising

When: Friday 16th June 2017, 1pm -4pm

Where: The Clare Charity Centre, Wycombe Road, Saunderton, Bucks, HP14 4HB (please use HP14 4HU for sat nav)

2016 saw a 10% increase in the number of charities who benefited from a legacy for the first time. This trend will continue in 2017, perhaps to record levels. The best fundraising charities will continue to embed legacies across their organisation. But far too many will be left behind. Join legacy experts Rob Cope and Claire Routley to ensure that your organisation isn’t left behind.

In this session, Rob and Claire will cover both the theoretical underpinnings of legacy fundraising and a range of practical tips on how to implement it within your organisation. We’ll begin by focusing on who gives and why, and, importantly, what the barriers to legacy might be. We’ll then move on to consider the practicalities of developing your legacy fundraising. We’ll also spend some time thinking about how you can encourage your organisation to be noisy about legacies, ensuring maximum reach for your legacy message.

The event will start at 1pm and will be followed by a networking session at 3pm.
