    Get Grants Legacy Fundraising Training Course explores current data, key considerations, common practices, and resources that may help your legacy fundraising planning.

    In this course, you will gain insights into the sector and see practical examples of legacy fundraising at its best to give you lessons on how to implement this into practice.

    You will leave the course with added motivation, confidence, and a more assured approach to how to develop your organisation’s legacy fundraising income stream!

    This online course is delivered via Zoom, across two lots of 2-hour sessions, leaving some time in between for a practical activity and to read further course material and reflect on the information given.

    This course will cover:

    Our Legacy Fundraising Training Course covers a range of topics relating to legacy fundraising, from legal considerations to the importance of the language used. You will:

    • Learn about the size of the market for legacy fundraising.
    • Discover a range of ways to promote legacy fundraising to your audiences.
    • How to talk about legacies and what language to use in legacy communications.
    • Discuss common concerns in implementing and processing legacy donations and pledges.
    • Explore different tactics to start your legacy communications today.
    • Consider how to build legacy campaigns into your overall fundraising strategy.

    Our Legacy Fundraising Training Course sessions are open and conversational, with a mix of group work and individual tasks, offering a friendly and relaxed environment with plenty of opportunities to ask questions throughout the sessions.

    About the Trainer

    Emma Bryant MInstF (Dip) is a freelance charity consultant, trainer, and speaker specialising in digital fundraising and marketing.

    Emma holds both the Diploma in Fundraising and Certificate in Fundraising from the Chartered Institute of Fundraising (CIOF) and is a tutor for the CIOF’s Certificate in Fundraising Online course, and formerly a tutor for the Institute for Sustainable Philanthropy’s Certificate in Fundraising Copywriting, and the US-based Fundraising Standard course.

    Prior to going freelance, Emma worked for world-leading fundraising academics, Prof. Adrian Sargeant and Prof. Jen Shang for seven years supporting various bespoke research projects for international organisations. She has led and delivered fundraising programmes for local, national, and international charities, held Trustee positions, and is a current member of the CIOF’s South West Committee.

    Emma enjoys being outside, from hiking to paddleboarding, or exploring the UK in her self-converted campervan.
