Welcome to the Legacy Youth Zone 6th Birthday Celebration! Join us at Legacy Youth Zone for a day filled with fun, laughter, and memories.

This year’s event is a Cultural Birthday Celebration – a festival-style day that honours Legacy’s 6 years in the community, shaped by ideas from young people. We're encouraging everyone to celebrate their heritage, whether that’s through cultural clothing, flags, food, or music – much like a school cultural day.

Overview of the Day:

Theme: Cultural celebration of identity and community
Food: A variety of cuisines, including rice & peas, samosas, and pre-cooked dishes from five different cultures. Plus a sweet shop and (TBC) vintage ice cream
Activities:
Indoors: Disco, art room (clay crafts, mural, banner making), sensory room, t-shirts of historical figures, wellbeing room (face painting, nails),
Outdoors: Staff vs parents football match, bouncy castles, and games in Rec Hall
Entertainment: Youth performances, steel pan drummers, DJ (TBC), film room with cultural movies

Much of this has been planned with and by young people, from food choices to performances and decorations.
