Summary:

DAC Beachcroft invites you to a 90-minute virtual training session on Effective ER Processes and Investigations. In this interactive session, we will look at practical tips and guidance for managing internal ER processes. We will also consider what makes and investigation effective and practical tips for ensuring investigations run smoothly and achieve their objectives.

Through this session, we will look at the key issues commonly dealt with during ER processes and investigations, including:

  • Dealing with grievances (including multiple grievances);
  • Dealing with disciplinary processes (including overlapping processes);
  • Suspension;
  • What makes an effective investigation; and
  • Practical tips and tricks for leading an investigation.

Aims and Objectives:

The objective of this virtual training session is to provide attendees with the tools to:


  • better understand what practical steps can be taken to ensure all ER processes are fair and consistent;
  • understand and evaluate risk areas, particularly in relation to unfair dismissal and constructive unfair dismissal risks;
  • gain practical insight for dealing with tricky issues in relation to ER processes and investigations.


Outcome:

To extend our ability to foster a positive workplace culture, and how to negate and avoid the risks associated with poorly executed ER processes and investigations.

Facilitator

Ciara Muldowney is a Senior Associate at DAC Beachcroft LLP. She advises employers on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters from routine employee issues, structural and organisational support through to assisting clients' with complex whistleblowing and discrimination claims. In addition, Ciara is an experienced investigator having led on a number of complex and sensitive investigations for clients across a wide range of sectors. She also regularly presents training on all aspects of employment law to HR professionals and in-house employment legal teams.
