Summary:
A 1.5 hour session covering the basics of MHPS
Aim:
To give attendees an overview of MHPS, deepen their understanding of MHPS, and equip them with advice and practical tips for running an MHPS process
Objectives:
The session will enable attendees to understand:
• when MHPS applies and why it is important to follow it
• the key roles and responsibilities of those involves in an MHPS process
• when it is appropriate to exclude a practitioner or restrict their practice
• how different types of concerns should be addressed, and
• how to handle tricky issues that commonly arise during an MHPS process
Outcome:
Attendees should leave the session with a greater understanding of when and how MHPS applies so that they can feel confident in dealing with MHPS in practice.
Target audience: Medical HR professionals, and those who may be involved in MHPS investigations or case management
