About this event
Legally Empowered: Girls Leading Change is an exciting, transformative event designed to empower young women to become leaders in the field of human rights law.
On February 6, 2026, ithis event will bring together 100 passionate and driven young individuals aged 13-24 years old for a day of inspiration, skill-building, and networking. The focus will be on equipping the next generation of girls' human rights lawyers with the tools and insights they need to make a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond.
With a strong emphasis on leadership, career development, and advocacy, the event will feature a range of high-energy sessions, including:
- Fieldfisher professionals share their personal journeys and perspectives on leadership in law, giving attendees valuable insights into how they can carve out their own path to success.
- Leading activists, lawyers, and advisors from GHRH will discuss their experiences in law, how they advance girls' human rights, and the powerful role young women play in shaping the future of human rights advocacy.
- Participants will tackle real-world legal scenarios, stepping into the roles of different parties and crafting compelling arguments to protect and advance girls' rights.
- Fieldfisher’s team will offer a behind-the-scenes look at life in law, sharing their day-to-day roles and the diverse opportunities available for young professionals just starting out.
Throughout the event, attendees will also have the chance to explore career pathways, hear from inspiring role models, and gain practical skills in human rights law. As the event takes place during the month of Ramadan, special activities will be planned for lunch to honor the spirit of reflection and community.
