Legionella Training for Wales & S.West England - CIBSE CPD Accredited
Date and time
Description
Please note! Due to the current risk to personal safety and following the recent Government advice that "Everyone should avoid gatherings and crowded places" we have made the decision to postpone this event until further notice. We will keep all confirmed delegates aware and will open up ticket sales once a new date has been announced.
Why Training Matters
Training is important to improve the day-to-day running of your organisation and to ensure you are sufficiently informed to meet your legal duty of care.
This event aims to inform an understanding of Legionella bacteria as well as the responsibilities required to remain legally compliant. Furthermore, it provides advice from independant leading experts in the field and cover real case studies, and the legal fall out in more detail to share experience of what can happen when things go wrong, so others can learn from the valuable examples provided.
Why Should You Attend?
The HSE is increasingly focussed on the competence and training of staff carrying out duties on site via inspections. In the case of Legionella control, this relates directly to guidance ACoP L8 that explains the regulatory requirement for the appointment of your responsible person.
Who Would Be Interested?
This training seminar is aimed at duty holders and appointed persons responsible for your sites. Delegates will most likely be either:
- Senior management
- Health & Safety managers
- Site Engineers with specific responsibility for water
- Facility and Contract managers
Training will fulfil the requirement for those responsible to have introductory knowledge on the main aspects of legionella and Legionnaires’ disease, and to understand their role or can equally be used as a refresher to previous training that may have been undertaken.
The full day is complimentary, runs until 3.30pm when we will relocate where we can continue discussion/de-brief over drinks that will be made available to all delegates.
Agenda/Schedule*
A drinks reception hosted by SMS Environmental will follow the scheduled event.
