Description

In this 1-hour session, the children will use Lego WeDo 2.0 to explore their creativity while learning key programming and engineering concepts in a fun learning environment. They will design and build their own models and learn to programme them.

This course covers:

  • Basic programming
  • Common robotics concepts
  • Main components of the WeDo set, including power hub, motors and sensors
  • Teamwork skills
  • Problem solving and mathematical skills

The session will be the first of ongoing weekly sessions held on Sundays, from 13:30 to 14:30 at Imperial College. Parents will be given the opportunity to sign up for further sessions should they wish to do so.

The sessions will be run by Samia Razak (Mechanical Engineer with an MBA from University of Oxford), Isabel Bonachera (MPhil. Physics, University of Cambridge, BS Engineering from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA), and Naveed Ghaffar (MSc. Computer Science and LLB Law, University of Birmingham).

This event is a 1-hr trial session. All children over the age of 7 are welcome to register.

No prior coding experience necessary.
