What is this bootcamp about?

This 3-day hands-on robotics bootcamp, is designed for 13-16-year-olds to explore LEGO robotics, teamwork, and problem-solving. We will also introduce future studies and career pathways in engineering, apprenticeships, and scholarships to help students plan for life after secondary school.

What time and is there any break?

The bootcamp is 10 am - 3 pm each day with a total of 1 hour break in between. Snacks are provided but you can bring your own meal.

What scholarships and career opportunities will be discussed?

We will introduce students to funding and scholarship opportunities, including:
Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship – Supports students interested in tech & engineering.
IET Launch Scholarship – Helps future engineers with funding.
 Manchester’s Rising Stars Fund – Local funding for young talent.

Do I need any prior experience in robotics or coding?

No! This bootcamp is beginner-friendly and will guide you through the basics of robotics, coding, and problem-solving in a fun and interactive way.

What do I need to bring?

We will provide all materials, including LEGO robotics kits and laptops/tablets. You only need to bring:
✔ A notebook & pen (optional for taking notes).
✔ A curious mind & enthusiasm!

Yes! The bootcamp is completely free, but spaces are limited, so early registration is recommended.
