LEHSS consultation sessions are a space for staff to discuss on a one-to-one basis, difficulties in school or college relating to mental health and wellbeing. To understand why the difficulty is happening and consider ways to improve the situation. For example, this could be a child or student who is disruptive, anxious, or low in mood. It could be a wider situation across the whole school relating to pupils, staff or both. For example, low staff morale across the whole school or college, or individual work-related staff mental health difficulties. These sessions can also be used following attendance at our online training sessions, to discuss how to use the ideas learnt within your school or college environment.

We aim to offer a safe, confidential and containing space to talk about current issues and challenges.

Consultation sessions will be run by experienced Clinical Psychologists who are registered with, and regulated by, the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Once booked, a 'teams meeting' link will be sent out individually by the allocated clinician closer to the session date and time. This may be as close as approximately an hour before the session.

PLEASE NOTE: this consultation session is only available to staff employed by schools and colleges within the Lancashire County Council area. Places cannot be allocated to people employed by other services or who work in schools outside this area. LEHSS is fully funded by LCC.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to being a preventative service, where issues arise in relation to self-harm, suicidal thoughts or any situation where a child is at risk from others or to others, we encourage you in the first instance to speak with and make a referral or safeguarding report to the relevant appropriate services (i.e., Child and Adult Mental Health Services, Social Services, Youth Offending Team, etc).

Please sign up using your school or college email to demonstrate your eligibility.
