Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland LSCB Competency Framework - Recall Workshop Thursday 8th June 2017
Thursday, 8 June 2017 from 09:30 to 13:00 (BST)
This recall workshop will allow you to gain feedback / ask questions / gain reassurance – no matter how far along you are with using the Competency Framework.
In April 2014 Leicester City and Leicestershire & Rutland LSCB revised the Children’s Safeguarding Learning, Development and Training Strategy, which included the use of a Competency Based approach.
This recall workshop will support managers and organisational leads in having opportunity to refresh and revisit the Framework and opportunity to share progress to date, and hear updates from the LSCB about how the Framework is being used.
Over the last 3 years, the LSCB has developed different advice and skills and ‘top tips’ for assessing competency and using the framework – and the workshop is an opportunity to update, refresh and share practice and tips!
In order to attend you will have either needed to have an understanding of the framework or have attended a previous briefing session.
Please do not worry if you have not started to apply the framework at this stage – this is an opportunity to find out more, and seek advice and guidance!
By the end of the workshop you will have opportunity to:
- Reflect on how the practical changes around training and learning have translated into your practice.
- Have a brief reminder of key messages about the competency framework
- Considered your current position
- Considered challenges & solution
- Considered evidencing of effective practice
- Considered recording.
- Access a Surgery slot
