Tue 22 November 2016, 16:45 – 19:30 GMT
Each year Leicester City Council host a public lecture to celebrate and reflect on the work that Leicester is doing to combat climate change and to raise awareness of environmental issues.
Confirmed to speak at this year's lecture is Jill Duggan, Director of Policy at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) as well as The Prince of Wales's Corporate Leaders Group who has announced the title of her lecture will be:
"Paris Agreement on Climate Change: What does it mean for UK businesses?"
In light of the UK Governments recent announcement that it will ratify the Paris Agreement on Climate Change by the end of the year, Jill Duggan will explore what this speedy ratification and entry into force means for businesses in the UK as well as highlighting the actions that companies are already undertaking and the help that is already available to support business to become more sustainable.
