Our popular Leighton Lates provide visitors with the chance to enjoy the house ‘out of hours’ until 9pm. With an atmosphere of their own, there is also the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary drink and listen to live music.


Friday 13 April - Live music from 6:30pm with Katy Jungmann and Nick Lenner-Webster

Nick Lenner-Webster is a professional Double bass and Electric Bass player based in London. He has worked in a variety venues across the country including Ronnie Scotts, The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Festival Hall, and Glastonbury festival.

Katy Jungmann - A modern, traditional and unique saxophonist, has played on stages such as Latitude, Crazy Coqs, Pheasantry, Bull's Head, & Hampton Court. Katy has recorded and performed for: BBC | Universal Studios | Air-Edel | The Langham | The Sun | Google | National History Museum | Edinburgh Festival.


Friday 11 May - Live music from 6:30pm with Catherine Earnshaw and Keith Clouston

Oud player, Keith Clouston of http://www.storywheelmusic.co.uk has performed across the UK and abroad, he originally learnt to play the oud in Tunisia. Catherine Earnshaw is a traditionmal folk singer. Togetehr they combine folk music of the British Isles with influences from the Middle East and North Africa.

Friday 8 June - Live music from 6:30pm with Martin Speake and Alex Maguire

Virtuosos in search of new adventures. Alto saxophone and piano duo playing improvisations and structured pieces influenced by a wide range of jazz and classical traditions.

Alex Maguire studied with Howard Riley and John Cage. He has since played internationally with artists such as Sean Bergin, Han Bennink, Peter Brotzman and Hatfield and the North. Heralded by the Guardian as “The finest piano player of his generation”.

Martin Speake, composer and improviser, is as comfortable playing Charlie Parker as free improvising with drummer Mark Sanders, playing standards with Ethan Iverson and Indian music with Dharambir Singh. “Speake is a strikingly talented improviser with a seemingly bottomless well of inspiration.” - Encyclopedia of Popular Music

>> Please note that the Leighton Lates performances have not been designed as formal concerts; visitors listen to the music while visiting the museum. There will be some seating available however by purchasing your ticket you don't secure a seat.

>> Leighton House Museum remains open until 9pm (last entry 8.30pm). Music from 6.30pm.Ticket price includes access to the Museum a complimentary drink. Please note that concessions are not available.
