Description

The course content will include the following

• Safety checks on owner vehicles
• Maintenance checks of motor vehicles including PETROL, DIESEL,MANUAL and AUTOMATIC
• Inspection and repair of vehicle lighting units
• Checking and maintaining vehicle lubricant levels
• Inspection and maintaining vehicle wheels and tyres
• Basic repairs and servicing techniques including removal and checking of spark plugs, oils and filters.

You will need to bring: writing materials to make you own notes on the day. Please wear comfortable clothing, overalls, googles and safety boots.

Parking is available at Suffolk Rural with no charge.

Our refectories will not be open, so you may wish to bring your own refreshments with you. Drinks vending machines are available on campus.

What precautions are in place relating to Covid 19?

If you are showing any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone showing symptoms in the last 14 days, please do not travel or attend the college.

The college has implemented a range of adjustments in line with Government guidelines. This includes introducing a one-way system around the building, reconfiguring rooms and ventilation, wearing face coverings in communal areas and when 2m distance cannot be maintained such as when being taught a specific skill, applying social distancing in the communal areas and in classrooms/workshops, washing hands with soap and water often for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer gel if soap and water not available.
