Leith Creative: Reporting Event
Date and time
Description
Leith Creative is a research project mapping cultural resources and creative industries within the Leith area. Since the beginning of the year, we've been talking to a variety of cultural representatives in Leith alongside individual creatives and practitioners.
We are now ready to report on our findings at this Leith Creative event. We will present a detailed report of our findings and recommendations, alongside a cultural asset map of Leith and summery of our key data in an infographic designed by artist David Lemm. There will be an opportunity for attendees to find out more about this cultural network, as well as contributing thoughts and ideas on how to take the findings forward.
The event will take place at The Biscuit Factory, a new art space in Leith housed in the former Crawfords biscuit factory off Bonnington Road. Refreshments will be provided.
Leith Creative is co-developed and co-delivered by LeithLate and Citizen Curator.
LeithLate is an arts organisation responsible for a number of public art initiatives in the Leith area, including The Shutter Project and The Mural Project, alongside the annual LeithLate festival.
Established in 2013, Citizen Curator is a contemporary arts organisation investigating the history and identity of Leith and North Edinburgh.
Leith Creative is supported by Creative Scotland, the City of Edinburgh Council and the Leith Benevolent Association.
