About this event

Is your son/ daughter gearing up for GCSEs?

Do they know HOW to get organised and revise for tests and exams?

While we don't yet know exactly how Covid-19 will affect GCSE assessments in 2022, it's more vital than ever for teens to develop study skills. Learning to become an independent, active learner can make all the difference, not just to academic performance but also to confidence, motivation and wellbeing. In this live online workshop Juliet Landau-Pope shares practical strategies and motivational tips for students in Year 11, including:

*  How to get organised and plan revision

*  Overcoming procrastination and managing distractions

*  Making notes and boosting memory

*   Managing stress before exams

There'll also be time for plenty of Q & A.

Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?

These workshops are devised for students in school year 11.

How interactive will the workshop be?

Students will be invited to participate by sharing comments or questions but active participation isn't mandatory. It's fine to listen and watch without speaking.

Can parents attend this workshop?

No, these workshops are only for students. Parents are invited to separate workshops online on Thurs 30 Sept at 8pm or in Radlett on Wed 3 Nov at 8pm. For details, please see:

What should my son/daughter bring to the workshop?

A pen and paper to take notes, if possible. 

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Organiser of Less Stress, More Success: Revision Strategies for GCSE Exams

I'm a certified coach, virtual organiser and study skills consultant, working with adults and teens to boost productivity and motivation. An Oxford graduate, I worked for more than 20 years in adult education as a university lecturer and editor, and have run my coaching consultancy JLPCoach since 2008. I've written 2 books: Being More Productive (2017) and Clearing Your Clutter (2018). I lead workshops in community and corporate settings to promote time management and organising skills, and coach adults and teens to overcome procrastination and perfectionism. I also combine life coaching and decluttering, helping busy people to shift habits as well as surplus stuff. 

I'm fully insured, registered for data protection and hold an enhanced DBS (CRB) certificate.
