Sutton Community Farm have teamed up with acclaimed chef Malcolm John to create an exclusive pop-up fundraising dinner at his Sutton restaurant Brasserie Vacherin, as part of Urban Food Fortnight. The three-course menu, which caters for vegetarian and meat eaters, has been created in collaboration with Malcolm John himself and is curated around produce that is sourced from Sutton Community Farm or farms that are less than 50 miles from London, hence the name - the Less Than 50 Dinner.
Malcolm is working with some of London's best producers to source ingredients for the meal as locally as possible. Meat will be coming from Forty Hall Farm based in Enfield whilst honey will be provided the London beekeepers, Barnes and Webb. The meal will be accompanied by bread from Sutton Community Farm's local baker, Gaye Whitwam and cheeses will come from producers based in the capital.
Sutton Community Farm is dedicated to sustainable, local produce and provides South London with a truly local VegBox Scheme from its 7 acre site in Wallington. Opened in 2010, the farm is committed to increasing the local, sustainable food supply, creating an inclusive, shared space in which people can cultivate skills and achieving economic stability, supporting and-based employment.
So, for just £30 per ticket, you'll be treated to a wine reception followed by a three-course meal. Some of the team behind the Sutton Community Farm will be there to say hello and answer all your burning vegetable related questions (and more)!
Tickets are limited, so make sure you grab yours quick to this exclusive event. All profits from the meal are donated directly back to the farm to help enable their community focussed work.
NB. Once you've booked your ticket, please get in touch to let us know if you would like the vegetarian option(s) by e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
