Join Encounter Voices’ Loz Kaye,Connect Community and Well Arty choirs for a vocal workshop exploring songs celebrating the power of singing to boost our health and wellbeing.We’ll be giving the voice a workout exploring music new and familiar. We’ll also explore combining singing and signing.This engaging sharing is inspired by the theme ofresilience– and music’s power to bring us together.Come and find your shine!

You can take part just by joining our sharing workshop on Saturday September20th but you can also take part in preparation workshops happening across Lancashire.We will share material in different formats ahead of time if you want to get ahead…

This sharing is suitable for all,no particular experience needed – you just need an open mind and enthusiasm. We are happy for families and young people to join. People under 15 should be accompanied by an adult.

Enter the Guildhall through the front doors on Lancaster Road. The Lancastrian Suite is on the first floor of Preston Guildhall, there is lift and escalator access. If you haven’t been to Preston Guildhall before, leave a little time to find your way through as it is quite large, we will be on hand to help you find your way. Do message us with any specific access needs.

Loz Kaye is a musical director and composer with a passion for the public power of music. He is specialist in community based vocal projects, and is current leader of Hope Mill Community Choir and Director of the project County of Song. Previous work at Lancashire Encounter has included the participatory projects “Right Here, Right Now”, “The Last Rose” and “Lights That Lead Us There”.
