AntikBar, the original vintage poster specialist, is holding an exhibition of skiing and winter sport posters at their London gallery from 1 November to 10 December.
These dynamic, glamorous and eye-catching posters were originally produced to entice holiday-makers and thrill-seekers to alpine resorts. Many of the early- to mid-century skiing and winter sports posters feature strong images that were designed by notable artists of the time and the rarity of those that have survived makes them highly collectible and a good investment. Packed with decorative appeal and nostalgia for the Golden Age of travel, they are ideal for decorating chalets and provide a stunning reminder back home of a memorable ski trip.
Free entry. Address: AntikBar, 404 King's Road, London SW10 0LJ. Opening Hours: Monday-Friday 11am-7pm; Saturday 11am-6pm (by appointment only on Sundays and Bank Holidays).
Visit their Skiing Posters information page and their website at www.AntikBar.co.uk to browse all their original vintage posters from around the world – cinema, travel, advertising, sport, war, propaganda.
