About this Event
‘I live on blood. But I am not… that… can I come in?
Let Me In are delighted to present Let th Right One In by special arrangement with Marla Rubin Productions Ltd.
Set to the backdrop of Winter,1984, in Stockholm, Let Me In are set to create an immersive theatre experience, suspended in time and place, unlike any production you have seen before.
Let the Right One In is a truly rare piece of theatre. It twists and weaves unexpectedly as it combines an enchanting, brutal horror tale and an honest, coming-of-age love story.
Oskar (Christopher Buckle) is a sensitive, fragile, teenage boy, living in the suburbs of Stockholm in the early 1980s, who is bullied at school and spends his nights dreaming of revenge and rehearsing knife attacks in the courtyard behind his apartment building.
There he meets his new next-door neighbour Eli (Lucy Allen), a mysterious girl of his own age. Sensing in each other a kindred spirit, the two quickly become devoted friends, however, as their friendship deepens, a series of sinister killings shock the neighbourhood.
Age recommendation: 15+ due to moments of strong violence, horror and strong language.
Please be aware of flashing images, moments of shock and extreme tension at points within the performance.
