Are you ready for the LETG flagship event?

On Wednesday 30 January 2019, the LETG is hosting its 29th Annual conference. This year’s theme is ‘L&D in a disruptive world’Here is everything you need to know to book your space and sort your travel arrangements.

Eminent keynote speakers providing insight from different perspectives:

  • Emerging roles and skills for the future-focussed L&D team Andy Lancaster (CIPD)
  • L&D preparing for digital transformation David Perring (Fosway)
  • Transforming your organisation - through the science of communication Richard Newman (UK BodyTalk)

Choose two from four interactive workshops on the day.

  • 21st Century strategy for the L&D Function Mark Smith (Intelligent Challenge)
As the business environment moves faster than ever, strategy becomes more critical than ever as a way to navigate volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. This interactive workshop will cut through the jargon to introduce some key concepts about competitive strategy and provide a framework to help shape L&D strategy in your firms as well as tools to sharpen your strategic thinking.
  • Design thinking in learning  Nick Shackleton-Jones (PA Consulting)
The key to improving the employee experience whilst simultaneously improving performance is design thinking: putting your learners at the heart of the design process. In this hands-on workshop you will be introduced to new design techniques and gain practical experience of content creation.
  • New roles and disruptive technologies – are you prepared? Ben Gardner and Claire Waldron (Wavelength Law)
We are going through an information revolution where new technologies are transforming our ability to combine, access, use and visualise information. These changes are impacting society and business at all levels but are being acutely felt by knowledge industries such as law. This workshop will look to demystify the technology, cut through the hype and look at how roles and organisations are responding to the disruption they face.
  • LETG award case study Caroline Lynch (Arthur Cox):  This workshop with Arthur Cox, winners of the LETG Overall Initiative award in 2018will look at the introduction and impact of an innovative L&D programme for legal secretaries

Doors open at 9am, with a 9.30am start.  The day culminates in our traditional networking drinks on-site from 17:00 till 19:30.
