Description

Chaired by Nigel Henderson, chief executive at Penumbra, this event is designed to provide CCPS members with an opportunity to learn about activity on the national policy front, and be inspired and engage with digital innovation in social care developed by members and others for the benefit of service users and organisations.

On the policy front, speakers will include:

  • David Robb, Deputy Director Digital Public Services & Business Transformation, Scottish Government
  • Liza McLean, Head of eHealth (Digital Health and Care) Strategy and Policy (tbc), Scottish Government
  • Martyn Wallace, Chief Digital Officer, COSLA

On how providers are embracing digital technology throughout their organisation:

  • Angela Currie, Housing and Care Director, Blackwood

And we’ll have a range of short workshops showcasing members’ digital technology innovations, including:

  • Alzheimer Scotland’s Technology kit
  • Barnardo’s use digital technologies to engage young people
  • Blackwood’s CleverCogs digitally enhanced care system
  • Carr Gomm’s Click Go outcomes and support management digital tool
  • Cornerstone rolls out large scale digital mobile solution
  • Cyrenians Facebook MessengerBots in campaigning and service design
  • Loretto Care’s innovations using digital technology to create new services and increase service user independence
  • Penumbra’s IROC outcome measurement tool
  • Quarriers’ Go4it digital inclusion services for disabled adults
  • SOL’s ‘round the clock’ care and support service using bespoke Technology Enabled Care
  • Viewpoint Housing Association’s supported living digital health hub
  • Product Forge - facilitating collaboration with staff and digital developers to create new products and services in health and social care
  • Young Scot’s innovative use of the Young Scot smart card

Outcomes for participants:

  • Increased awareness of the development and implementation of Scottish Government and local government policy and practice in relation to digital technology and social care
  • An opportunity to input into the digital health and social care strategy
  • Increased knowledge of how CCPS members and others are using digital technology to improve outcomes for the people they work with and to enhance organisational systems and sustainability

Please note tea, coffee and registration will be available from 9 am and the event starts at 9.30 am. Lunch will be provided.
