About the event

'Let's Get Mental' (LGM) is an annual conference hosted by the Midlands Young Advisors in connection with Associate Development Solutions. The event aims to bridge the gap between mental health professionals, service users and anyone interested in improving mental health services by creating a space for discussion on a wide variety of topics.

This year, unlike any other, the conference will be entirely online, so you can watch from the comfort of your own home!

The day will be packed with educational discussions around various areas of mental health, delivered by young people and drawing on their own experiences. They have been empowered to make a difference, and by listening to their stories, you could be inspired too.

So, regardless of whether you’re a professional, parent, or a fellow young person, this conference could give you the tools to combat mental health stigma and further improve communication and accessibility for everyone across mental health services.

Eligibility

Whether you're a mental health professional, service user, or just have an interest in improving mental health services, you're welcome to join us.

What you will need

The conference will be delivered online via Zoom. You will need:

• a computer with a webcam and microphone -OR- a smartphone, plus
• a reliable internet connection

About us

We are the Midlands Young Advisors, a group of young people with varied backgrounds and experiences with mental health services. We are passionate about transforming services and championing the voice of young people through conferences like this one. We also present at national events, educate NHS professionals and deliver talks to school students.
