Let’s Go Zero and Welwyn Hatfield Sustainable Schools - Third Series Part 1
Overview
Getting Started with Sustainability
The DfE Climate Strategy is asking all educational settings to have a Sustainability Lead and Climate Action Plan in place by 2025.
Let’s Go Zero are providing free support to nurseries, schools and colleges to help them on their sustainability journeys.
Welwyn Hatfield Council have net zero targets as an organisation and as a borough and are coordinating workshops for educational setting across all of Hertfordshire to help Let’s Go Zero deliver their objectives.
To secure your spot and ensure you receive the follow up emails with supporting guidance material, please register for both workshops.
Did you know, the DfE’s Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy requires ‘all education settings to have nominated a Sustainability Lead and put in place a Climate Action Plan’ by 2025?
For some this will mean that sustainability becomes a focus for the first time this year, for others it may be something your school has been working on for a while. Regardless of where you are on your journey, we understand that it can feel overwhelming knowing what to do or what to prioritise.
That’s why we are working with Let’s Go Zero and their local Climate Action Advisors to help provide free support to all schools, nurseries and colleges in Hertfordshire to meet these DfE requirements.
During our first workshop, participants will learn more about:
✅ Let’s Go Zero’s campaign and free ‘Climate Action Advisor’ programme
✅ The DfE Climate Strategy requirements and what your setting needs to do
✅ What free support is available to help you meet the requirements and overcome challenges
✅ Sustainability Leadership - best practise
