Let's Improve Workplace Wellbeing CIC was created in the first lockdown of March 2020 and is now a not-for-profit community interest company supporting over 150 members who are leading employee wellbeing within organisations of all sizes and sectors.

This is your chance to join other employers in Birmingham coming together to connect, learn and share best practice around all aspects of workplace health and wellbeing.

The events will be hosted by LiWW Leadership Team Members Hannah Pearsall (Hays), Sam Langford (Gaia Wellbeing) and Nuz Chagan.

We will be having three keynote speakers and then branch into roundtables discussions around the topics to gain and share expert insight.

Attendees will also enjoy a complimentary visit to the Village Hotel, Gym & Spa in either Birmingham or Dudley due to our collaborative partnership and focus on mental, financial, social and physical wellbeing.

Hannah Pearsall – Hays Head of Wellbeing, Executive Leadership team for Let’s Improve Workplace Wellbeing

Hannah leads the design, development, implementation, and delivery of a holistic and evolving wellbeing strategy for Hays UK&I. She has also been actively involved in improving the competence and support for other wellbeing leaders. She is also a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, an accredited Wellbeing Coach studying towards a Masters in health and wellbeing.Hannah’s Keynote will look at 'How and Where Wellbeing has evolved for organisations'.

Samantha Langford - Workplace Wellbeing Professional - Gaia Wellbeing

Our second key note speaker is Samantha Langford who is an experienced Workplace Wellbeing Professional former head of Wellbeing B Braun and accolades include holding an MSc in Workplace Health and Wellbeing and qualifications in Wellbeing from NEBOSH.Samantha also sits on the executive leadership team for Let’s Improve Workplace Wellbeing and is resident expert on topics of Trauma Risk Management and Mental Health First as well as Sustaining Resilience at Work.Samantha’s Keynote will look at the latest directives by the British International Standards policies on Women’s Health and Menopause and what you as an organisation can be thinking about.

Michelle Smith - Founder - National Grief and Bereavement Association

Michelle has extensive experience of working with those navigating grief and bereavement.With over 25 years working in specialist palliative care and oncology, Michelle has held a variety of roles including clinical nurse specialist, director of nursing, director of clinical services, head of patient engagement and lived experience as well as holding senior leadership roles in third sector organisations such as Macmillan Cancer Support and Sue Ryder.After leading front line clinical teams throughout the pandemic and seeing the harrowing impact that so many different types of grief were having on individuals, Michelle used her direct experience along with her Compassion Fatigue qualification to set up her own business taking a unique approach in delivering training on how to support and retain staff who are navigating loss, grief and bereavement.Michelle’s keynote will help you navigate how to support and retain your staff who have experienced or are going through loss, grief and bereavement.
