What do I need to wear?

Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in and which are suitable for the weather. We aim that everyone stays dry but bring a change of clothes just in case.

We provide all equipment for the session but bring a bottle of water and any personal medication you need

What is the site like?

We have a step-free pontoon and EZ launch facility (see pictures above) at our pontoon in the Barge Arm in Orchard Square.

Question 5

Do I need to be able to swim?

Accepted Answer

No, we aim that no one goes in the water. You will be supplied with a buoyancy aid or life jacket and our leaders are trained to help you if you fall in the water. If you are nervous about this please let us know and we can hep you to feel safe and comfortable.

No, our sessions are for people only.

How long will we be on the water for?

Our standard 1 hour taster sessions aim to offer 45 minutes on the water, allowing time for a safety briefing and time getting in and our of boats.

Question 8

What craft can I try out?

We have a mixture of Canadian canoes , sit on top kayaks and stand up paddleboards on site. You may not be able to use your preferred choice depending on demand and group size.
