The Hornets
A young and vibrant West London rock ensemble formed in 2017, The Hornets channel the spirited energy of 1950s and 60s R&B, blues, and rock. After honing their craft through local gigs and winning a battle of the bands, they earned praise as “the best new, young band to come out of West London since The Who”. Expect a dynamic and nostalgic live performance that’s both rooted in classic sounds and full of fresh energy.
The Dynatronics
Their 60s-tinged indie-pop, drawing comparisons to The Lemonheads, Teenage Fanclub, Blur and The Who. Their debut single on cult label Spinout Nuggets features Morgan Nicholls (Senseless Things/Muse/Gorillaz/The Who) on keys and production, and has already won praise from Mickey Bradley of The Undertones as “a great rock and roll song by a great rock and roll band.”
Peter Azzopardi
A story teller originally from a council estate in the East End of London. Influences include, The Specials , Elvis, The Beatles, Rod Stewart. Likened to Billy Brag because of his energy and gritty lyrics, Peter is a great fit for opening this event.
