Frequently asked questions

When should I attend this class?

We recommend that you attend between 16 and 20 weeks of pregnancy? However, if that time has already passed, you can still attend.

Do I have to attend the classes in order?

Ideally, yes, as the course will make more sense that way round. If you can only attend them out of order, that is also fine.

Is this an antenatal education course?

No, these classes are designed to help you explore your feelings about birth and to start to think about your options for birth. For specific birth education, please attend our other antenatal classes later in your pregnancy (after 30 weeks for most people).

Can my partner also attend this class?

Absolutely, birth partners are part of this journey and are most welcome to attend.

Is this workshop only for first-time parents?

Ideally, yes. This is more relevant for you if it is your first baby. However, if this is a second or subsequent baby and you are new to the UK and feel you would benefit from attending, then this is fine.
