Welcome to Let’s Talk About Moving Through School: Transitions.
Join Bristol Parent Carers and Clare Greene, Lead for School Improvement, from Bristol City Council, online on Thursday 9th October at 7pm.
In this session we will talk about your child or young person's experiences of transitions, whether that be a 'big' transition, such as starting Reception, moving to secondary school or starting a new school mid-year, or a more 'regular' transition, such as the start and end of school terms and starting a new academic year.
Did it go well? Did you and your child or young person feel well supported?
We will think about what might have gone well for you and your child, as well as what you and your child might have found difficult during transitions. We will also talk about your ideas and suggestions for what you would like educational settings to try in future.
Your voice matters and can shape the support available for families like yours – help us make sure it’s heard. Your feedback will be included in Bristol City Council's guidance on safe and effective transitions.
Our Let’s Talk sessions are interactive, so we’d appreciate you keeping your camera on (if possible), and talking away as much as you’d like!
As a thank you for attending and sharing your experiences, we will send you a £10 voucher.
For online sessions, we will post a voucher to your home address that you provide during Eventbrite booking. You will be asked to re-confirm your home address when you register for the online Zoom session.
The Zoom link for this session will be emailed to you by Eventbrite 30 minutes before the session starts.

*Please note, to attend this session you must live in Bristol (your bin will be collected by Bristol City Council), or your child must attend a school in the Bristol city area. You must also have a child with Special Educational Needs, but they do not need to have a diagnosis.
