Event description

Description

Let's talk about sex

Do you work with young people?

How do you bring up sensitive topics with the people you are working with?

Do you remember the birds and the bees talk? Did it make ANY sense to you?

If you are a worker or manager in Devon who wants to offer up to date, relevant information on STIs, sexual behaviour and how to access screening programmes to young people, join us at this half day training session and gain the skills that will enable you to bring up conversations about sex and relationships with the young people that you work with.

Let’s Talk about Sex - making sexual health a priority - is one of the recommended training sessions to help your organisation to progress to C-Card site registration alongside the following modules:

  • The Law Safeguarding and Sex
  • RU Ready? - Supporting and empowering young people’s emotional development
  • Contraception Choices - Why doesn't safer sex happen?

All the above modules are listed separately so please search Eddystone on this site for further details and to book on. Or see our website for more information http://www.eddystone.org.uk

As all of our training is funded so free for you to attend - make the day really count and combine this module with our afternoon session on the same day!

The Law, Safeguarding and Sex

Do you want to work with young people certain that you have the skills and understanding to work within the relevant legislation and best practice? Have you heard of the C-Card scheme? It means that your organisation can offer sexual health advice and free condoms to young people under 25 (contact us for more information).
