Description

As the first of the School of Health and Social Care's 'Lets Talk' series, Lets Talk:Mental Health will will welcome Chris McCullogh Young to the University of Gloucestershire.

On April the 6th 2011, following a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder, ex social worker Chris McCullough Young set off northwards from his home in Edinburgh to walk around the edge of the UK to change the way people think about mental health. Armed with a rucksack full of 'what if', 11 packets of supernoodles and a belief that people would be fabulous, Chris has relied solely on the hospitality of strangers.

He hasn't been disappointed.

Joining Chris will be Professor Diane Crone of the University of Gloucestershire who will be discussing Purposeful Activity and it's role in wellbeing.

As long as there is sufficient interest, Students in the School of Health and Social Care at Francis Close Hall Campus may be able to access a coach to the event at Oxstalls and returning to FCH. If you would like to have a space on the coach please contact the event organiser at tgronow@glos.ac.uk.
