About this Event
UtopiaArts invite you to a series of conversational workshops to Zoom in on the principles at the centre of our developed Participatory Ethics structure.
Frances Rifkin will host and guide the 3 sessions taking place 7 days apart.
- Tuesday 10th November
- Tuesday 17th November
- Tuesday 24th November
From attending a “Let’s talk more about…” conversational workshop you will be able to:
- Articulate your own framework reflecting on shared objectives
- Integrate ethics of social distancing into your thinking
- Understand more about what is meant by “Ethics Framing”.
- Discuss participatory ethics in the context of your practice.
An aim from the workshops is to encourage critical conversations with friends and colleagues, around the issues raised.
We have found that our Ethics of Participation framed structure, is widely applicable across sectors where the ethical practice is highly valued (education and health for example).
We want to explore with you how the landscape is changing in relation to emergent concerns specifically but not exclusively relating to COVID and what the ethical framework can impart to inform socially distanced participatory practices.
What we will cover
- Introduction to the REF (Radical Ethical Frame)
- Theory and Practice of the founding practitioners
- Values as Cultural “lenses”
- Core Principles, an ethical base for practitioners
- Stanislavski’s ethical questioning
- “How?” applying an ethical practice
- Evaluation and Reporting.
The 3 sessions will follow a common agenda with the attendees shaping the conversations led by Frances. This is an opportunity to cycle through the agenda 3 times.
Attending just one session anywhere in the cycle will provide a full workshop.
Each ticket comes with a code for up to 3 friends or colleagues to attend with you for free.
