Let's Talk Neurodiversity 2025

By Mindera Foundation Romania

Overview

Join us for a heart-to-heart conversation about neurodiversity, hosted by the Mindera Foundation.

Join us for an inspiring conversation on neurodiversity, hosted by the Mindera Foundation — a space where we celebrate the many ways our minds experience, process, and shape the world.

This edition brings together two remarkable voices: Prof. Dr. Petru L. Curșeu, professor at Babeș-Bolyai University and Open Universiteit, whose research explores cognition, collaboration, and diversity in human systems; and Dr. Mihai Tomescu, an international expert in the social field, with a PhD in Sociology and a solid academic background in psychology and sociology.

Together, we'll unpack what it truly means to value different ways of thinking — in life, learning, and work. Expect thought-provoking insights, practical perspectives, and an honest dialogue about how embracing neurodiversity can create stronger, more empathetic communities.

Whether you’re curious to understand yourself or others better, or simply believe in the power of inclusion, this event is for you.

Let’s come together to listen, learn, and celebrate the beauty of our differences — because that’s what makes us truly #HumanTogether.

Neurodiversity – The Value Behind Differences

Dr. Mihai Tomescu

Neurodiversity – the Value Behind Differences: "I know that the megatrends of change are a priority. I also know that you are looking for authentic learning contexts, full of meaning and significance, and that you want to take something valuable away from every new experience. Well, my presentation is about that “something”— that feeling of fulfilment and deep belonging to one of our most fundamental values: diversity. I hope this event will awaken that shared value within you. We both know, however, that recognizing it is not enough — every value must be put into action. That’s why I’ll teach you the rules of neuroinclusion — in other words, how we can ensure that our actions are guided by empathy, inspired by an understanding of neurodiversity, and applied with determination in our daily work.

17:30 - 18:30

Neurodiversity at Work

Prof. Dr. Petru Curseu

Neurodiversity at Work: A Critical Reevaluation of Leadership, Belonging, and Wellbeing in Organizations: "Neurodiversity at work reveals both promise and paradox. Across 3 recent studies we explore some of the challenges associated with neurodiversity in modern organizations. In the first study we find that while organizations increasingly celebrate cognitive diversity, subtle biases and structural barriers persist. The second study shows that disclosure of neurodivergence is a deeply personal and relational act: it can foster understanding and authenticity, but also trigger stigma or exclusion. Finally, in the third study, from a well-being perspective, neurodivergent workers struggle when workplaces undermine their basic psychological needs for autonomy, competence, and relatedness."
