Let's Talk Teenagers - June 2022

*Please note, due to unforeseen disruption to the session on the 15th June, this first session will now take place on the 22nd June. The remaining sessions will take place a week later than initially planned, and an additional date has been added on the 6th July.

Let's Talk Teenagers is an opportunity for you as a parent or guardian of a teenager(s) to hear about the challenges young people are facing today, and the tools you can use to support your children and community.

Please see below for details:

Wednesday 22nd June (was 15th June)

• Teenage development including social and emotional changes

• Healthy and unhealthy relationships, including domestic abuse

• Body image

• Toxic masculinity

Wednesday 29th June (was 22nd June)

• Community risks including county lines and gang crime

• Unhealthy relationships with a focus on child sexual exploitation and grooming

• Social media

• Safety planning

Wednesday 6th July (was 29th June)

• Family strengthening

• How to have challenging conversations

• Role modelling

• Emotional wellbeing and self-care
