About this Event
Get active and enjoy the walking by water on this free 3 hour walk.
Led by our lovely local volunteers this is a great way to be active, meet people and spend time by water.
Starting and finishing outside the National Waterways Museum, this circular, 6.3 mile walk (approx 3.5 hours) will follow the river Severn from close to the docks as it flows around Hempsted to join the canal at Sims bridge before returning to the docks along the canal towpath. Whilst the route follows recognised footpaths the surface will be muddy and uneven at times, and includes a number of stiles.
It's all about meeting people so come along on your own, or bring a friend, and stay for a cup of tea afterwards if you can.
Please wear comfortable shoes, weather appropriate clothing and bring a bottle of water. Please let us know if you have any requirements or concerns.
