Following the National Primary Strategy introduction in 2007 the letters and sounds scheme still has significant relevance in today's revised EYFS and the development of key listening skills and attentive attitudes towards sounds all helps to develop those importance phonics skills for children’s future education and their readiness for school. The phase one stages 1-6 are the primary focus for Early Years and this course will cover the six stages and provide reflective practice opportunities and ideas for how best to cover these areas and develop plans for your children.
