We all have a voice inside our heads that doubts, criticises and undermines us, a voice that tells us we’re not good enough, that we should be better, or that we’ll be found out. It’s a voice that’s rarely kind, often inaccurate, and rarely helpful. In this half-day workshop, we’ll explore where that voice comes from, how it operates and how we might soften its impact.
With a mix of teaching, small-group discussion and creative exercises (including “Draw Your Inner Critic” and “My Caged Self”), we’ll share experiences, reflect together, and take part in a ritual of symbolic release, saying goodbye to some of the harsh messages we’ve carried for too long.
You don’t need to be an expert in psychology or self-development, just curious, open-minded, and ready for real conversation. Our member events are as much about connection as they are about insight. Expect thought-provoking ideas, a warm community, and maybe even a laugh or two along the way.
Please note this is a paid event for The School of Life Members, and there are 25 spaces.
