About this event
Level 1/4 Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health is a great introduction into mental health, all members of the public can benefit from this course.
Mental health conditions are often hidden due to stigma and fear of discrimination. Research has shown that a culture of fear and silence around mental health is costly to employers. Taking steps to improve, mitigate any potential stigmas could promote staff welfare and ease the financial cost of staff absenteeism.
On this course you will learn to recognise a range of mental health conditions. This could be crucial for your business as at least 1 in 6 employees experience common mental health problems in the workplace; becoming aware of these issues could be a step towards improved employee welfare.
You will also learn how and when to start a supportive conversation as well as the correct time and process to signpost a person to seek appropriate, professional help.
You will also take important steps to learning how to manage stress.
