Stretches, acupressure points, the correct use of body weight and safety.
Deep-focused abdominal (hara) work and facial massage.
Upon completion students will be able to perform an effective 1 - 1 ½ hour treatment.
There is a final exam and to gain your diploma students will also need to complete 10 case studies.
This course is suitable for:
Beginners new to massage.
Body workers (including yoga teachers, physiotherapists, chiropractors, dancers and others) who would like to broaden their skill set and deepen their knowledge.
To obtain insurance to practice professionally you will also need a qualification in Anatomy and Physiology (Level 3 ITEC or NVQ). Courses are available at local colleges. If you are a yoga teacher, chiropractor or other similar type of body worker you may already be qualified. Check with your current insurer if they will add Thai Yoga Massage to your policy and if your professional body recognises your Anatomy and Physiology qualification.
Please note: A qualification in Anatomy and Physiology is not a pre-requisite to undertake any of our courses.
