Level 1 Health and Safety in Construction & CSCS Green Card

The course is delivered at our training centre in Bradford, West Yorkshire by friendly trainers in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Unlike other courses, there is NO requirement to undertake a separate CSCS test as the programme combines the level 1 health and safety course with the CSCS test to allow you to fulfill the requirements for the CSCS Labourer card on the same day.

There is also no need for previous knowledge or revision as full training will be given on the day.

Contents of the Course

The course is designed to give you the basic essential knowledge for health and safety on construction sites. It covers the following areas –

• The principles of risk assessment for maintaining and improving health and safety at work
• The importance of safe manual handling in the workplace.
• The importance of working safely at height in the workplace.
• Risks to health within a construction environment.
• The importance of working around plant and equipment safely.

Certification

On successful completion you will receive a certificate for The Level 1 Health and Safety in Construction Qualification (Ofqual approved and accredited by GQA) as well as the CSCS Labourer Card. Both card and certificate will be sent to you within 7 working days.

What happens next?

Once we receive your order payment, we will contact you within 24 hours for a few more details, such as your National Insurance Number* so that we can register you on the course and book your CSCS test

What Happens on the day of the training?

Please arrive for the training centre around 9.45am so that we can book you in and make a prompt start at 10am. There is ample parking space around the centre. Tea and coffee is provided!

At the start of the course your trainer will explain what needs to be done in detail so that you are familiar with the requirements. If you have any problems with reading and/or writing, please let the trainer know so that we can help you during the training.

You will need to write answers in to pre-prepared booklets which will then be marked. If you do not meet the requirements at this stage, additional help will be given to help you pass (at no additional charge)

On successful completion of the workbook, you will take the CSCS test on-line at the same place.

Please note that candidates who fail to achieve the course will be offered a FREE place on another date.

What happens after the training?

On successful completion of the course, we will apply for your certificate and CSCS card. As soon as we receive them, we will post them on directly to you. The whole process normally takes around 7 working days.
